My Artist Bucket List

A friend asked me about my bucket list yesterday and it led me to thinking about my artist bucket list.  I'm a fickle human being that wants to experience a little bit of everything and I have no limits when it comes to art. I would do more extravagant pieces if my financial situation would let me. haha
However, I will work with what I have and here's a small list of future projects I want to sink my guacamalan teeth into. I want to masticate the hell out of it.

ARTIST BUCKET LIST:

  • A proper website that I can attach this blog to and have more organized body of work on display.
  • I want to start an online comic called "Retail" and start illustrating the relationship I've had with retail the past 7ish years.
  • Start various collaborations with other disciplines ie. writers, musicians and other artists. I did collaborate with my friend Dave Colon for the 3rd issue his zine - STRETCH. I worked on the cover art.

A magazine full of awesome fiction and poetry.
You can send your submission to STRETCHTHEMAGAZINE@GMAIL.COM

  • Illustrate for publication and take courses on illustration.
  • Open an online shop where I can sell plush robots, monsters and prints.
  • Continue to apply to different art shows and residencies. Anything that will help me become a well rounded artist.
  • I'm still debating on this - go back to graduate school to get my M.A. in Fine Arts. I'm not sure how well going back to school would serve me.

For now I will continue to work on painting and work on my bucket list as I go along. I've gotten a second wind and I'm feeling inspired to do everything. Overwhelming in a great way. And it started with just one conversation.
